Hall-effect thrusters are advanced electric propulsion subsystems recognized for their high thrust-to-power ratio and efficiency. These thrusters generate thrust by ionizing a propellant - typically xenon - and accelerating the resulting ions using carefully controlled electric and magnetic fields.
